Each sheep will cost approximately 75p to have sheared before being treated to a drench to get rid of worms and foot bath to prevent disease.
This years claves will have their horns removed, otherwise known as disbudding. This really needs to be done within their first 2-6 weeks, but absolutely must be done by two months.
Silaging is running at a pace and haymaking will usually happen in June, so long as the weather permits. This is used to feed the livestock during the coming winter.

Away from the farm, the annual cycle of livestock and agricultural shows begin around May- June. This is the perfect opportunity for hard working farmers to have a little down time whilst also taking the opportunity to show off their livestock.
